Being a part of the Nova Vita Foundation has helped me develop leadership skills, recognize my strengths, and make a positive impact in my community. Collaboration and teamwork have taught me the importance of leveraging diverse perspectives and resolving conflicts. I have gained project management skills by organizing events and overseeing initiatives. Engaging with diverse communities has cultivated empathy and cultural sensitivity, while fundraising efforts have taught me how to engage donors and mobilize resources.

Joining Nova Vita allowed me to create lasting connections with the other members through the various events I attended. I have never been a leader and never thought I would, but I grew more comfortable with becoming one as I started to get more involved with NVF. Additionally, I was also able to boost my social skills by interacting with either guests or customers who visit our events and regularly attending meetings. As one of the co-presidents, we lead the meetings we have every week with all the leaders, to discuss any recent updates and future plans. If I had looked at myself currently before NVF, I would’ve never believed that I could become a leader, so I really appreciate what this organization has done for me. Finally, Nova Vita has given me the opportunity to learn valuable life skills from volunteering and organizing different events.
